CABLING & BRACING SUPPORT SYSTEMS
These systems are used to reduce the hazard potential of trees with specific structural defects. They can be used to successfully prolong the life of an otherwise desirable tree, but are not advisable for every situation. Cabling and bracing should only be installed when tree owners are willing to take responsibility for professional tree inspections over the remaining life of the tree, and are willing to live with a certain amount of hazard potential.
We have used both traditional high quality steel hardware systems as well as Cobra soft cabling systems successfully. When you are in the Eugene, Oregon area you can see some of our cabling work in the historic Owen Cherry Tree at the Owen Rose garden.
